I remember in year 2 there was a girl who had literally never had a haircut so her hair was ridiculously long [imagine Rapunzel basically] and she always complained about it but her mum wouldn’t let her get it cut
So one day at recess she put an entire pack of chewed gum in her hair at the exact length she wanted it cut to.
She came in the next day with her hair cut how she wanted it and a smug grin on her face and I knew that that girl was going places.

Making tumblr more ‘family friendly’ will take away what we all love about tumblr so much: the freedom to post WHAT WE WANT and not be warned or banned if - Gods forbid - a nipple is peeking out, a little violence is shown, highly unpopular opinions are voiced, people are shown in their natural state of being (in the nude yo) or doing one of the most natural things humans can do (have sex), things are blown up, the people speak out against their governments and the establishment or more of the sort. Tumblr is one of the few places on the internet where you can still actually post what you wish. It is our free platform of expression, true and unrepressed expression. Here you can choose to be whoever you want to be, and your blog or blogs reflect certain pieces of YOU as a whole. To take that away is just another way or taking away our freedom and rights of free speech.
Have you seen what Yahoo just did to flickr? I shudder to think how they will deform and maim or beloved Tumblr.
